Have we been brainwashed?

Ok, so apparently there was this poll taken where Americans were asked "What is worse, parking in a fire lane or illegal downloading a movie?" 59% of Americans said that parking in a fire lane was a more serious offense. But, I am seriously worried about the other 41% of Americans! You would rather risk endangering people's lives, and getting your car smashed up(firefighters will sometimes smashed the front and back windshields of your car to get you back), then download a movie??!! What the heck! Have we been so brainwashed by the MPAA that we will not consider anything to be worse then downloading??!! I am not making this up. HERE is the link to the MSNBC article.

On the subject of illegal downloading, I recently heard that my all time favorite downloading site Thepiratebay.org is going to try to buy it's own country! That's right it's OWN county. They're trying to buy the Province of Sealand a small man made island. The value of the country is estimated at 504 million dollars. If piratebay gets this country it will be totally free of all stupid copyright laws. I'd want to move there. :D

Bach's Invention no. 4

[To listen click HERE

Here's my most recent piano piece. Dad recorded it last Sunday. I'm recording all my pieces once I'm finished them and putting them on another blog specially for that purpose.

thoughts-of-music.blogspot.com

I put that link there 1) because I just wanted to and 2) I'm trying to get it picked up by Google.*grins*

I had my Latin exam today. I'm taking it online so all my tests are submitted through a computer. There's something so final about clicking a "submit" button rather than handing a piece of paper to someone. It's creepy.

Going by subtle hints dropped by my teacher I think I did pretty well. I'll get the results back tomorrow.

Battle On

If you saw my blog from about last Tuesday to Thursday please know that the absolutely hideous header was due to a very sad thing that happened. My computer... DIED! Well, actually the keyboard went out on me. So I had to get a new one. It's Toshiba laptop. One of my weird things that I do is name pieces of technology that are important to me. I named my iPod "Heroic" and so I named this computer "Battle On" after a gaming company who made AdventureQuest and DragonFable(two very cool online fantasy Role-Playing games which are worth checking out) But, there as a two day space until I could get everything onto my new computer and be able to change the blog header.

But, enough of that. So, my Dad was goofing around tonight with his cell-phone camera and took this picture of me. This was taken with a CELL-PHONE so of course it doesn't look very good.

Yes, I'm a GIRL*Looks pointedly at saradancer*

Here is a completely off-topic picture of my brother after swatting a fly that was also taken tonight.

default

You can see his cast on his right arm.(refer to previous post for circumstances surrounding it)

I'm almost done with this Bach invention(No. 4) that I've been playing, and on Sunday Dad's going to record me with his recording thing.

So, welcome all new members! I'm Moderngeek, and I love computers, and music.

Bones

I don't have much time so I'll make this quick.

My brother broke his arm yesterday. He was going off a skateboard ramp and he zipped up into the air and fell on his arm. So anyway my Dad and I took him to the hospital. They did X-rays and all that, and somehow Dad was able to pursuade the nurse to burn one of the X-ray pictures on a disk, and give it to him. So, anyway here's that picture.

Of course, I added the red stuff.

As you can see both bones in his forearm were broken. But the growth plates weren't harmed to he should be all healed in about two months.

The thing I found really creepy about the hospital is that while you're there(I was there from about 3:30 to 8:30 PM) is that there's no sense of time at all. There's only the gleaming white walls. It really creeps me out...

More Craziness

So, I took this quiz thing and here's the results.

Are you a good spy?

Your alias is Bond. James Bond. Life is a secret game, and you know all the cheats and codes to dodge the bullets of uncertainty. Your demeanor is smooth and calculating as you ponder your next move. Mystery excites you. Adventure intrigues you. Danger claims your brain. The odds are... you won't live to see tomorrow.

One of these days I'm going to make my own personality test, so I can stop being annoyed when test results tell me something about myself that's totally and absolutely wrong.

I've never really gone for the whole "handwriting tells about your personality" thing.(Actually, I've never for any of those things that supposedly tell you about yourself) But just the other day I took this online handwriting test and it was surprising how accurate it was. Sure there was some stuff that I just thought "What! I'm not like that, and never will be!", but the majority of the information was pretty close.

default

I don't know if you can see the word at the top of the above picture(I had to resize it) but they said "Free handwriting Analysis self-test from Handwriting University" Now, I'm sorry but the thought of a "Handwriting University" sounds so utterly stupid, that I can hardly believe it. So, when you're interviewing for a job you can say "I got a degree in handwriting from Handwriting University!" I mean come on!

Everything said in this video is true to some extent. Even the part of Bill Gate's singing. The Zune can only get music that's in Microsoft format which eliminates a WHOLE lot of stuff.

Well bye for now!

The craziness

default

Just kidding! It was made by me using this fun generator which can be viewed HERE.  Although there should be this book. :)

I've been really into Lute music. I got alot of lute CDs for Christmas, and I'm slowing amassing a collection of them.

Saddam Hussein was killed this past weekend... he's dead, and gone. I am sad.

I got this shirt for Christmas

 default

It is, of course, added to my favorite shirts list along with my Murray Rothbard shirt, and my <GEEK> shirt.
