I got inspired and wrote the next chapter. I can already tell I'm going to have alot of fun with this!

Through the Flames

     As Mike walked closer to the creature he got a better look at it. It was dressed all in dark brown leather and had smooth skin. It's hair went down to the middle of it's back and and had an almost unnatural glow to it. Mike watched in shock as Alex walked confidently up the creature.
"how crazy can you get?" Mike thought to himself. Mike watched Alex begin to talk to the creature but before the creature had said much Alex said
"Mike! It's alright. You can some here now." Feeling rather stupid Mike walked over to the creature. The creature spoke with haste in it's voice saying
"Come now! We must hurry." Mike became very confused and stuttered out
"uh...where do we go? And if you don't mind me asking..um...what exactly are you?" The creature said
"oh..I am Ethrial, the goblin. Come, more questions will be answered later."
"You're a WHAT?!" Mike opened his mouth to say. But Ethrial gave him a stern looked and Mike closed his mouth. Ethrial took out what looked like a bracelet made of some silverish material and held it out saying
"Quickly grab this." Alex and Mike both held on the bracelet without questions. Ethrial mumbled something under his breath and suddenly Mike felt the ground leave. He felt like he was in a running dryer being tossed about like a rag doll. Then he started to fall. Down, down, into the darkness below. Mike closed his eyes waiting for the fall. But then he felt a small bump and realized he had landed on the ground with relatively no pain at all. He looked around at the land about him. It was mostly trees and bushes but he saw some mountains in the distance and a curious black cloud growing about them. Mike looked around again and saw that Alex and Ethrial had landed beside him. Mike opened his mouth to ask more questions but Ethrial whispered
"Not here. We will go some place safer. Follow me." Alex and Mike followed Ethrial as Ethrial began to walked through the forest. When he came to a particulary old and tall tree he stopped and began to walk around the tree five times. On the fifth time around a door appeared in the tree trunk and Ethrial opened it saying
"down here" Mike and Alex looked apprehensively into the tree trunk. The darkness seemed to go down forever.
"Go!" Ethrial hissed and Mike and Alex jumped. Mike felt himself fall down into the darkness. Then he hit what he thought was the bottom but found out it merely a slide. A slide that seemed to go on and on forever. Finally he landed with a bump on the ground with Alex right behind him. Mike got up and saw Ethrial slide down, but land more gracefully then they had.
"Now, will you answer our questions?" Mike asked Ethrial.
"Yes, now I will answer your questions" Ethrial replied.
"Ok, first one is Where are we?"
"You are in the country of Thestria." Ethrian replied.
"Okaay, second one is Why are we here?"
"You are here because Thestria needs you." Was the answer that came
"Why?" Alex and Mike asked in unison. Ethrial sighed and said
"Thestria is now under the control of an evil witch and her son. The witch is named Irene, and her son goes only by the name "The black prince". Irene sits in her castle among the mountains and sends her evil dark cloud out. Each day the cloud grows larger. All you live under the dark cloud for long becomes her slave. The black prince marches with a hideous army destroying all in his path. You have been chosen to command the little army we have and save Thestria." Alex and Mike stared at each other in shock.

Ok, I've hit a temporary writers block with my other story so I'm starting a new one.

 Through the flames

     Michael Larson burst through the door of his house. Slamming the door he looked around glad to be home from school.
"Mike!" his mom called "how many times have I told you not to slam the door!"
"Sorry" Michael, who generally went by Mike, called back before heading toward his room. On the way his sister Alex poked her head out of her room saying
"Jeesh, Mike what happened? Did that girl you like turn you down again?"
"Shut it" Mike growled before going into his room. Alex was Mike's sister and was one year younger. Alex liked to be sarcastic and was in Mike's opinion a big pest. Once inside his room Mike set his backpack on the ground with a sigh. Mike was 13 and his sister was 12. His Dad was in the airforce and consequently was gone alot of the time. Mike loved his Dad, but sometimes he wished that Dad would have more time for him. Shaking his head Mike got started on the enormous amount of homework his teacher had assigned. When Mike finally got it done it was already dinner time. After dinner Mike went straight to bed.
     The next morning Mike was rudely woken by his own personalized alarm clock which was.....his sister. Banging on the door Alex shouted
"Mike! Get up! I'll finish all the cereal before you!"
"Don't you dare!" Mike shouted back. With a groan Mike got up, got dressed, and walked downstaires. He found his sister had already eaten and was standing by the door waiting for him.
"how does she get up so early" Mike wondered to himself as he shoveled down his cereal. After a hug from his mom Mike grabbed his backpack and walked to the door where Alex was tapping her foot impatiently.
"Come on sleepyhead!" she said
"Hey! That's not fair!" Mike replied "It's not my fault that I don't get up at insane hours of the morning!" Alex rolled her eyes but didn't reply.
     Mike and Alex stood at the bus stop waiting for the bus. Mike was despretly trying to keep awake and Alex was busy looking down the street for the school bus. Then Mike thought he saw a little creature about five feet tall with silky hair that was green! Mike rubbed his eyes but the creature still didn't go away.
"Hey uh Alex?" Mike asked nervously "do you see a little person with green hair?" Alex, still not moving her eyes from the road replied
"Mike! Mornings really aren't good for you!"
"No really!" Mike replied "There IS something. Right over there." With a sound of annoyance Alex finally turned to look where Mike was pointing. Alex froze.
"See! I TOLD you there was something!" Mike said triumphantly.
"Ok, ok, you won for ONCE." Alex said. But then added "What is it?"
"Well I don't know" Mike replied.
"I'm going to meet it" Alex said much to Mike's horror.
"No Alex!" He shouted "It might be dangerous!"
"Well there's only one way to find out!" Alex said firmly before striding over to the little creature.
"Girls!" Mike thought before tentatively following Alex.

    I was at books-a-million yesterday and while I was picking out a book I realized something. Has anybody else noticed that almost all books these days use cuss words in them? I don't think the quality of the plot would be diminished if the bad language was taken out. Really......why don't people see this?
     I won my softball game last night! The final score was 12-3. And....I hit a homerun! I've hit pretty well all season(tons of triples and two homeruns) so I think that I'm going to make all-stars. The only problem is getting Mom and Dad to let me do all-stars.......

Another weekend ends.....how many times have I sat in this chair on Sunday evenings, dreading the next day? Anyway I got struck with "image craze" and made two images.




I can make avatars and buttons for people. Just tell me what you want them to say and what color you want them to be. I can also make flashing images.

      I have been SO busy this past week. Between school, music, softball, managing sites, and furthering my knowledge of coding I have have almost no free time. I know for most of you School ends either today, tomorrow, or already ended but for me because I'm homeschooled I'm going until June 1. And then I'm doing math, reading, and logic in the summer. Also I'm now obsessed with my Google rating. If any of you post on forums, message boards, have a website, etc I would GREATLY appreciate it if you would just link to the poohblogs homepage. It will bring my Google rating up and more people will join!
     So now I'm off to solve another technical disaster.

Here's me when I don't take the time to put my hair in a ponytail(I look like this about 98% of the time. It's not that I'm lazy I just am so busy with school, and all the jobs and managing I do on the web that I just don't have time. Softball also hasn't helped either)

The Fiery Princess
Chapter 12: The Finest Prize
     Ardara felt her blood go cold. Anything that Soren came up with she knew for a fact was going to be bad for her. Soren fixed his intense green eyes on her.
"Yes" he said
"You Ardara are going to be the grand prize offered at the end of the tournament. The other girls will be prizes for the smaller championships but you Ardara are going to be the grandest prize offered at the end of the tournament to the one knight who wins over everyone else. You may have evaded my plans before but now there is no escape for you. You will end up being taken away by some knight no matter what you do, say, or think. You may go out and claim you are princess Ardara of Celestia but no one will listen. It had been so long since you went....missing that people no longer remember you.  The knights will simply think they are fighting for the prettiest girl in the country. They will never dream that you are Princess Ardara. That is why this plan is so brilliant." Soren laughed as he saw Ardara go pale. Angry as she was Ardara knew that everything Soren had just said was right. She was forgotten to the people. To them Princess Ardara didn't exist. Ardara knew she was doomed to be carried off by some knight. Soren laughed another evil laugh as he said
"You are frightened. I can see in those fiery eyes of yours. I'll also let you know that your father is weakening. It is only a matter of time before he dies and Celestia will go to your little brother. Then I'll easily conquer a country ruled by a three year old and be ruler of Celestia forever!" Ardara felt her stomach lurch. She hadn't thought about her father and brother in a long time. She had wanted to forget that part of her life.
"Guards!" Ardara heard Soren shout
"Take this girl away and dress her in the finest clothes. She is a special girl and should be taken well care of but if she escapes then you don't want to know the consequences!" Two guards came and took Ardara who was still trying to register everything Soren had just said into a huge room and there left her with some women. The women took Ardara and dressed her up in the finest clothes and did her hair up. Along the way Ardara learned that the tournament was going to take place in three days. Ardara felt sick at the thought of it. Ardara felt the part of herself called "Celestyn" slipping away and the part of herself called "Ardara" returning. She knew that she could never go back to being Celestyn.

The Fiery Princess
Chapter 11: The Fire re-lighted
     King Soren was waiting at his castle in Slodinina. Ever since his plot concerning Ardara had failed he had been planning another way to take Celestia. He had heard that since the disappearance of his daughter King Adrian had fallen in health so all Soren had to do was wait until he died. It would then be very easy to take the kingdom of Celestia away from the reign of a young child. But Soren was restless. He wanted Celestia as soon as possible. To distract his mind he arranged a Grand Tournament to be held. Knights would gather and compete and Soren would get beautiful girls from around the country to be given as prizes to the winning knights. Soren rubbed his hands together in gleeful anticipation. It would be an excuse to have a great feast which was something he loved and perhaps finally get his son Matthias interested in war. Soren was pleased.
     Ardara had given up struggling even though every nerve in the body was screaming to be let free. Ardara found out through the conversation of the soldiers that some sort of Tournament was going to be held and that she and the other girls in the cart were to be prizes for the winning knights. Ardara was disgusted that she was supposed to just let herself be handed over as a piece of property. In an attempt to escape she started talking to the other girls in the cart saying
"Lets go! We've got to get out of here!"
"Why should be go?" one girl said
"Yes why should we?" another said
"Because unless we leave we're going to be given as prizes to knights who win at the upcoming tournament. It's totally barbaric." Ardara replied hotly annoyed by the frivilous girls
"Oooooo real knights!" One girl said
"I bet they'll dress us up real nicely" another said
"I can hardly wait!" yet another said. With a groan Ardara gave up trying to reason with the witless girls. She figured she'd rather save her sanity then try to escape with those girls.
     After hours the wagon came in sight of a huge city with Ardara recognized to be Slodinia. Ardara paniced. She knew that the moment Soren or Matthias saw her, her whole disguise would be blown. She would be recognized and made to marry Matthias. But there was nothing she could do now as the the wagon was rolling through the streets of Slodinia. The wagon stopped infront of what Ardara assumed to be the palace. The soldiers pointed the girls toward a door and Ardara made to follow them. She hadn't gone two steps when the soldier who had taken her from Lehana in the first place grabbed her saying
"You're not over there. You're going to King Soren. He is interested in you" Ardara tried to struggle but the soldiers grip was too strong. Feeling helpless Ardara was led through the castle and into the throne room. King Soren was there and as Ardara was brought before him Ardara kept her head down hoping with every fiber of her body that Soren wouldn't recognize her.
"Well, well, well" Soren said
"This is the girl I've heard struggled with my soldiers. Quite interesting. Most girls would have been glad to have gone." Still keeping her head down Ardara replied with a sudden fire
"Then, my lord they should be the ones to go not me" Soren chuckled and said
"You've got some spirit there girl. Come why do you keep your head down? Lift it up so I can see it" Reluctantly Ardara lifted her head up. The moment Soren saw her face shocked registered on his face.
"How....what......what are you doing here?! Where have you been?!" he said stunned
"I've been hiding in a small town for three years" Ardara replied defiantly
"Oh yes, and there wasn't any kidnapping. I staged it all myself." she added knowing that that would make Soren angry. She was right. Anger appeared on Soren's face but then it disappeared replaced by one of smugness.
"Well princess Ardara" he said
"I have something special planned for you"

Ok I'm just so overfilled with joy that I just had to blog this. I WON MY SOFTBALL GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! The final score was 14-4 and I HIT A HOMERUN!!!!! And in my league only about three homeruns are hit per season so I am SSSSOOOOOO happy!(sorry just had to get that out of my system)

Some of you might have thought that we were getting to the end of story but we're not ANYWHERE near the end. I'm guessing this will end up to be about 30 parts long. I've got a busy week so I'm probably not going to be able to write much so just a heads up. Wish me luck with my softball game tonight!

Chapter 10: Trouble begins
     Ardara walked back to Lehana's house with her head spinning. Jaiden was a nice guy but the whole reason Ardara had run away was to escape marriage. Ardara firmly put mental barriers up to guard her mind from any instrusion. She decided that although Jaiden was a nice guy she didn't want any sort of special relasionship with him. Ardara walked into the house where Lehana was still with her head whirling. As she walked in she barely noticed Lehana. Lehana immedetly saw that Ardara was disturbed and said
"Celestyn what's the matter?" Ardara heaved a large sigh and sat dejectedly by Lehana
"Oh I'm sorry Lehana if I seem to grouchy. It's just that Jaiden asked me today if I wanted to marry him.....and.....I don't want to but at the same time I don't want to hurt Jaiden's feelings." Lehana turned and look Ardara straight in the eye
"Celestyn" she said
"The choice you make will be the right one no matter what. Jaiden will not brood forever on the fact that you turned him down. You have to do what you feel is right."  Ardara felt that this was true and decided it was finally time to let Lehana in on her greatest secret.
"Lehana" Ardara said hesitantly
"You have been so kind to me and I feel that you deserve to know the truth." Lehana cut her off here saying
"It is alright Princess Ardara. I've known who you really are for a long time." Ardara gaped at Lehana then recovering her voice said
"How did you know?!" Lehana chucked slightly saying
"oh it wasn't that hard. No one but a princess would have been so unable to take care of herself!" Ardara suddenly felt a rush of love for Lehana who had been like a foster mother to her. To overwhelmed for words Ardara just gave Lehana a big hug before going to her room.
     The next morning Ardara went to town intending to tell Jaiden how she felt. But when she reached the town square she immedetly saw that something was wrong. Girls about her age were being herded into a large wagon(they looked happy to go) by about twenty rough looking soldiers. Ardara saw that she had to get out of there fast and turned to run. When she had gone about ten paces she felt her arm being grabbed and a large soldier said
"Where do you think you're going missy? By King Soren's orders all pretty young ladies have to come with us  and you're the prettiest one we've seen by far." Ardara paniced saying
"oh no! I can't go! My grandmother is at home and she'll worry where I am!"
"I'll get a villager to tell her where you've gone" the soldier said gruffly dragging Ardara to the wagon. Though she kicked and struggled the soldier overpowered her and pushed her in the wagon and with the other soldiers drove away. For the second time in her life Ardara was being forced to go somewhere she didn't like. Only this time the prospects would be much more grim.
