Bones

I don't have much time so I'll make this quick.

My brother broke his arm yesterday. He was going off a skateboard ramp and he zipped up into the air and fell on his arm. So anyway my Dad and I took him to the hospital. They did X-rays and all that, and somehow Dad was able to pursuade the nurse to burn one of the X-ray pictures on a disk, and give it to him. So, anyway here's that picture.

Of course, I added the red stuff.

As you can see both bones in his forearm were broken. But the growth plates weren't harmed to he should be all healed in about two months.

The thing I found really creepy about the hospital is that while you're there(I was there from about 3:30 to 8:30 PM) is that there's no sense of time at all. There's only the gleaming white walls. It really creeps me out...

It doesn't take any persuasion to ask for a copy of the images of injury. My grampa has brain cancer and they took MRI scans and burned it too a CD without even asking. The only problem is: finding another doctor with the correct equipment to view it because MRI images are in a series and are made to (if you got the right stuff) to generate 3D images if put together in sequence it's pretty cool. Luckily I haven't broke anything. And I don't think I want to find out how it feels either.

I broke my arm at about the same place.
idon't know if I broke both bones though sin it was anywhere from two to eight weeks after it happened that we found out. Hospitals creepme out in that same way as well. I've been to them to visit others a lot....

Wow that looks about what my brother did when he was five! Except he only broke one bone as well, it was really scary. And the whole time thing it more true as you get older, when I was there waiting for my brother to get x-rays I was five as well ( yes twins ) and you get bored fast when your five, and the evil nurse wont let you in the kiddy play room unless you "have" to see a doc, now to this day I hate nurses in the ER.

@unknown
We had to fight it out with the nurse to be able to be able to get the pic. When she finally did give us the disk with the pic on it, I'm pretty sure she wasn't supposed to.

I guess it just depends on which hospital. But yeah, hospitals are kinda weird, some though like in virgina are very colorful and have some very nice cafeteria's but getting there is pretty hard.

I proclaim the hospital where I live, the world's creepiest place. Seriously, everybody there seems to have some sort of issue.
