Music Camp

Well, I'm back from music camp, and it was amazing. I met up with someone from I met last year named Ward, and met someone new named Tony. Ward makes puns all the time, so you'll be talking with him, and he'll say something strange, and then fifteen minutes later you'll be like "Oh! I get it now!". He also notices really funny things, like the fact that the choral conductor bears an uncanny resemblance to a chimp. From then on that's all I could think about everytime I looked at her.

Tony really wants to be a tenor, and wants a conquistador. He's also a really funny person, and he had a roommate named Greg who's a jerk, and I despise. We were singing this Brahms piece for choral and the conductor asked us at the beggining of the week to describe the piece as a food. After several people had said things that weren't what she was looking for I said 'dark chocolate' kind of as a joke, but it turned out that was actually the food she was looking for. ALL week she kept making references to dark chocolate, and it was totally ridiculous. Then about Thursday I revealed to Ward and Tony that I was actually the idiot who had suggested dark chocolate, and then ever after that when the conductor would make a reference to dark chocolate Tony would look at me.

On Tuesday we were going to watch a movie, but the building that had the auditorium had a fire alarm go off because of a small grease fire, but during the time we would would have been watching the movie, the entire camp just sat on the ground waiting for about an hour and a half. During that time Tony, Ward, Max, Hae-Joon, and I discussed everything from Macs to the economics of the Pendragon series(Ward, if you're reading this, then I'm right, and the people would be able to overthrow the corporation that controls their lives!).

My family seems to have "misplaced" our digital camera so I had to being the video camera to take pictures, and as a result the pictures aren't very high quality. But, here they are, all edited to make them seem better than they really are!

I got up at 5:30 every morning, so I could beat everyone to the showers, and also for the reason that girls dorms in the morning are some of the most crazy places you will every be, and you do NOT want to be ANYWHERE near them when the girls start waking up. The smell of 15 different bad perfumes all mixed together can be quite sickening you know.

There's so much more I could say, but it would simply take ages to type out. Maybe later I'll add more.

Oh, and Tony, if you happen to be reading this, what happened to you? You disappeared before the final concert!

I wasn't feeling very good, and both me and my mother were just really hungry. We decided to just go home instead of staying for the choir concert. Sorry I didnt get to say by.

Appears you weren't the only one who left early, Jake left as well. He was so far off out of pitch during the week, you wouldn't how much easier the concert became.

Sounds like you had tons of fun at the camp! So was this a overnight or day camp?
