The internet and the people who love it deserve a chance to.

I think most of you know this now but for those of you who don't I'll tell you. Computers and the Internet are going to be my career. Computers are what I'm good at so it makes sense for me to have that as my career. Right? Unfortunetly some people don't think so. When I tell people about the age 40 that I want to be a computer geek they get this annoying little smile/smirk on their faces and say "oh, but computers aren't really a profession. You should choose something with more "history" to it." Argh! I can't STAND it when people do this. Computer geeks make ALOT of money and the Computer world is just as much a profession as any other area. Why can't people give the Internet and the people who love it a chance? They just automatically assume that because it's something the "kids" do then it somehow "doesn't count". Not surprisingly the people who say this kind of thing are always people who fell behind in the internet upgrade and still live in the past, so because they don't do this "computer thing" they just say it's not a legitimate profession. Well, I'm going to stick by what I say no matter what other people tell me.
